Now and then the software your site runs on makes a big jump, a major new version rather than a routine update.
These take more work than the monthly run, and they're the ones that usually arrive with a separate quote attached.
On my plans, they're included. When the jump comes, I handle it, and your site moves forward to the latest version without a surprise bill landing on your desk.
There's no rush on release day. The version you're on keeps getting security fixes for months after a new one comes out, so I schedule the upgrade once the new version has settled and the add-ons your site relies on support it.
