Statamic Fieldnotes
Occasional notes on keeping Statamic sites running well, including a heads-up when something needs fixing. To be honest, it's also an easy way for me to stay in touch, but I'll only email when it's worth reading.

On 21 October 2026, PHP, the programming language behind Statamic and most other websites, released a fix for two critical security flaws known as PHP2Shell. I patched every server I look after that evening.
Not everyone hears about a fix like that in time, so I'll share the ones that matter, along with anything else I think is worth knowing about running a Statamic site.
What I'll share
A heads-up about Statamic, Laravel and PHP updates worth acting on, and what to do about them.
Practical tips from looking after Statamic sites, and the occasional useful link.
Plain English throughout, so it's useful whether you build sites or run one.
Who it's for
Anyone responsible for a Statamic site, from agency developers to in-house marketing teams.
How often
No more than once a month, and more likely every couple of months. If a critical fix like PHP2Shell can't wait, I'll send it straight away. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
Rather not apply the fixes yourself? My Statamic maintenance plans include them, so your site gets each one as soon as it is available.
